Deep Roots Ministries was birth out of the combined and like-hearted passions of a group of men out of Georgia. In 2017, the real beginnings started to form with the launch of a men’s weekend called The Anvil Men’s Boot Camp. The Anvil started after Richard Clinton and Butch Moerhke connected over breakfast one day and found that they had a heart for the same things, which was seeing the hearts of men set free. A 4-man team including Steve Robinson and Greg Roth, kicked off the first weekend that Spring

The Anvil started after Richard Clinton and Butch Moerhke connected over breakfast one day and found that they had a heart for the same things, which was seeing the hearts of men set free. A 4-man team including Steve Robinson and Greg Roth, kicked off the first weekend that Spring. With the launch of The Anvil in 2017, a semi-annual retreat, the hearts of men began to come alive in many ways. Dallas Haupt, who attended the first weekend, joined the team. Later, Chet Fowler and Chris Dearborn became a part of our mission.
In June of 2018, Richard’s wife, Amber, along with Kristy Robinson, Chasity Roth, and Serrah Dodson, ran the first Unveiled Women’s Encounter. With the completion of that weekend and the continued momentum and reach of Anvil, it was apparent that God was drawing this team into more, but what the more was, we had no idea. We just knew we had to follow.
Over the course of a year, the plan for Deep Roots Ministries began to unfold. In 2019, it was apparent where God was leading this small group of like-hearted men and women
